Our client wanted to use smart lighting to allow remote control via smartphones and voice control through Alexa rather than a more traditional garden light setup. So we recommended Philips Hue.

We helped define the lighting zones to create distinct areas. They also wanted to make sure they could use the new summerhouse all year round. So we installed all black fittings and a black glass panel heater to tie in with the decor they had chosen. An illuminated water feature adds a touch of calm to the area where the Adirondak chair is located. Uplight spots were used to bounce light off the laurel hedge and pergola posts to create a subdued lighting scheme for the main seating area. Whereas the 2nd patio uses pedestal lights for a more direct illumination.

And... they can choose from 16 million colours for each individual light (and more) all from their smartphone app
